SANS TETE by PETER DOBILL
PETER DOBILL'S work focuses on the body in actions. In these actions, mental and physical planes of existence are created, establishing autonomy in endurance, physical movement, and structure. With his body, he alters and constructs his vessel of experience, intrinsically connecting and emptying myself to a singular moment and time. Within these moments, he can then seek to communicate, focusing on energy exchanged between the audience and himself. His practice is two-fold: live public actions performed for an audience and private actions performed for the camera. Both practices operate in complimentary forces, with actions relating in physical, structural, and conceptual intensity. He considers the video documentations of his work as important as the live performances of his work.
BIOGRAPHY
PETER DOBILL, Born in New Zealand, is a Brooklyn based actionist who has performed across the country, incorporating physical endurance within his work, the focus is on the body in actions, seeking communication within physical and mental limits.

This is how performance art is meant to be experienced and our mission is the glorification of performance art.
Grace Exhibition Space presents over 30 curated live performance art exhibitions each year, showcasing new work by more than 400 performance artists from across the United States and the world since 2006.
