On October 22nd in front of a live audience, Clifford will take an Interior Portrait of Daniella’s new vagina; and Daniella will see inside of herself for the first time.
LaGaccia has been performing and documenting her transition since coming out in “The Closet”, a performance at Grace Exhibition Space in 2017. She performed injections of estrogen in 2018 as part of Trans-Ville at Catinca Tabacaru Gallery, curated by Coco Dolle.
Clifford has been working on Interiors since 2015 during a residency at The ACE Hotel through AUNTSisdance, where she live-streamed from the inside of her vagina on the then experimental platform Periscope. In 2016, Clifford created PussyBow, a silk scarf printed with an image of her vaginal muscle. In 2019, at another residency at the ACE Hotel, Clifford took LaGaccia’s Interior Portrait.
