MOON Jae-Seon (b. 1975) is the founder and director of the performance arts organization SORO and PAN ASIA(Performance Art Network ASIA). Moon Jaeseon deals with performativity of body created by the crossing of time and space through various media like installation, video and performances. He majored in visual Arts, and worked as a performer, a scenographer in various theatre and dance productions. The credits includes the productions by the Theater ETAT, Theater Company Ggipan, Lauphing Stone Company and Korea Performance Art Sprit (KoPAS). He also created solo performance pieces, 'Adagios'(1999), 'The Vibration and Unforming Circle'(2000), 'Dust'(2002), 'The Old Vibration'(2005) in which he translated autobiographical and socio-political issues into the corporeal visual languages. Since he founded SORO Performance Unit in 2004, he has contributed to raise the profile of Korean performance arts in and out of the country by creating art works with which he toured abroad and organizing festival PAN(Performance Art Network) Asia in Seoul.

Moon employs the sensory language of performance against the logic of text. He has been experimenting with the various methodologies to bring the immanent senses into presence. He approaches the inner human through gazing into the physical body. Moon strives to recompose the inner and outer movement of the body to create a new dynamics of materiality, visuality, and soundscape of the performance. His methodology intersects with various disciplines such as bioscience, arts therapy, contemporary dance, visual arts, and sound arts and brought him to collaborate with artists and professionals in the area. His passion on those matters above is well reflected on the pieces such as 'Le Deux'(2007) , 'Pacato'(2009), ‘Round-Trip’(2012), ‘Reufuge’(2017), ‘I feel a lot of sympathy for your actions’(2018)
Moon collaborated to archiving project of ACC(Asia Culture Center) and researched Asian Performance art ‘A study about the distributed resources situation and the way of establishing and intensifying collection’ as a senior researcher. In that time he approached to research various organizations of performance art in East Asia, Southeast Asia as well as West Asia.

Not long ago, I thought about life and death through a car accident. We are the beings who go to the place of death in our lives, and I have done deep reflection on what to pursue and do in our lives that are not infinite. What I want to show the audience through art is that you have to live your life freely. One thing we realized over a long period of time through art is that individuals are more beautiful than flowers.

I always wish to bless our lives, born as free and phenomenal as nature. Starting with performance in the mid-1990s, it has been performing visual arts and performances using various media. I am actively working as a director of the belt business of UNESCO Media Art Creation in Gwangju, pursuing artistic experiments in which virtuality and reality are united through sound, live art, painting, and video art.

PARK Chul-ho collects old, discarded things and makes a combination story. His story is also an exploration of where society and private people connect. He pointed out social contradictions and ambivalent groups on this view that individuals have unsuspecting beliefs about social systems such as state, capital, and religion. His story, expressed in a rather cynical tone, has an omniscient perspective on the individual who cannot be free from the influence of the large society.

His work, which is provided as an installation play using the entire space, is composed of three elements. Those are surreal narrative structure unraveled by fables composed of video and text, performance, a stage-like installation in the background of the narrative, collage painting that reminds you of a scene from a storyboard. If you match the pieces of the story scattered as individual works in the exhibition space, you will encounter the most private units that have been neglected in an unreliable system.

CHOI Sooran majored in painting and sculpture, and is a painter and art psychotherapist. She had a solo exhibition at Pam-ah gallery in Tokyo Japan. She recently received the grant for creative activities by Jeonnam Culture & Art Foundation, and has prepared multi-layered works for her next solo exhibition in 2021.

Relations in life can be between the visible and the invisible, space and human, and the material and the immaterial. All these kind of things are entangled with each other. She intends to acknowledge that we enter into un-countable relations entwined with each other, highlighting the significance of lost and forgotten relationships. 

CHOI Soo-ran approached her ‘site’ in a very unique way, as she attempts a huge change in the landscape through her creation. Thanks to her work, spectators can now form a whole new relationship with the site. Her works do not follow movements trying to save the regional historical characteristics of the region, challenging standardized city environments where no ‘distinctions’ or unique characteristics can be found.
