"ESCUCHASIONES" by SIRENES ERRANTES
Servicio de Escuchasión (listening service) is a practice that consists of reading and drawing with coarse salt, holding together in silence and logging the practice with words that compose a Collective Archive of expanded sensitivity.
Sirenes Errantes (Wandering Mermaids) will make 3 free escuchasiones/listenings on May 7th at 5:00/6:00/7:00 Buenos Aires - 4:00/5:00/6:00 New York - 1 Caller/Hour - Book your appointment: http://escuchasion.space/turnero/
The practice consists of a call where there are readings and drawings in salt between a siren and the person who signed up for the appointment. It is like a therapeutic consultation. Everything that is needed for the practice is specified in an email sent to the participant when they register. The practice/appointment is 50 minutes approx. It´s for one participant at a time.

Since 2016 they have been working as an artistic duo for the performance "La Britney Cordobesa". This work of performative character is based on mimesis translated into regional pop product format. It is a work that, with minimal resources to make it possible, interpellates its viewers directly through a sense of humor, resorting to the concrete representation of an indisputable icon that is part of our history and cultural imaginary.

SIRENES ERRANTES (ERRANT MERMAIDS) . . . MORE INFO
Sirenes Errantes (Errant Mermaids) build bodies with the voice, listening between breaths to allow feelings to emerge.
We are a group that carries out a genealogy of practices, actions and encounters where salt, the body, the notion of mermaids, and a village of collective emotionality are deepened to find paths leading to the emergence of sensibilities in the social body.
We ask ourselves about the passages among pedagogical, therapeutic and scenic moments. Recalling a dystopian past by resetting our parameters of reality and of history construction, as a possibility to create futures. We rehearse ways of life through which the issues of intimacy and caring are revalued in urban, domestic or virtual spaces.
Amidst confinement and social distancing, we plunge back into a sea of uncertainties with the Servicio de Escuchasión (Listening Service); a practice that wonders in the sensitivity produced within the ongoing pandemic-based encounters. We generate a Collective Archive that is made up of sensible records of this practice during the current state of emergency.
Sirenes Errantes are: Julia Hadida, Bautista Viera, Violeta Mansilla, Marta de la Gente, Meme Liébana, Osias Yanov, Silvia Estrin, Martín Tchira, Alejo Petriz, Flor Carrizo, Nina Kovensky, Melisa Chetto.

Escuchasiones (listenings) in between time strangeness
Confinement like a historical bridge between a marked BEFORE and AFTER, changing the way of living the days, calls into question the chrono-normed conception of time. Location from where we ask ourselves: can there be an experience of unknown time? Chrono-normativity is a way to conceptualize the predominant measures of time -counted in a way, evolutionary, linear, without return, etc-. To be delayed, for example, is part of this conception of temporality. The escuchasiones pour us into a dispute over how time is lived, while sharing a way out of it.
There are many times, there are many esthesis. But how to achieve a human elapse that moves away
of the
chrono-normed
time
