PARADE-in-PLACE from HOME in this crisis period of Covid-19 and Social Distancing
Ecological City applies the inspirational power of the arts to build community, collaboration and action on climate and sustainability initiatives throughout the community gardens, neighborhood and East River Park waterfront on the Lower East Side of New York City.
LIVE STREAM and VIDEO PERFORMANCES of over 100 REMOTE PARTICIPANTS sharing dance, music, theater and poetry along with featured contributions from gardens and partner organizations for an ECOLOGICAL CITY – VIRTUAL PAGEANT 11am – 4pm
Grace Exhibition Space is honored to be presenting a video at 1:15pm by Dragonfly, (aka Robin LaVerne Wilson) as well as hosting Dee Dee Maucher in a month-long residency at Grace Exhibition Space's location on 182 Avenue C.

ECOLOGICAL CITY is directed by Earth Celebrations in partnership with LUNGS-Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens, Loisaida Inc. Center and over 50 partner organizations.
Dragonfly [aka Robin LaVerne Wilson]
Dragonfly aka Robin LaVerne Wilson is a multidisciplinary life artist, activist and educator. She is a deaconess of Rev. Billy's Church of Stop Shopping, an ecosex collaborator with Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens, and an MA in Applied Theatre candidate at CUNY School of Professional Studies. She intends to learn how to swim one day because water is as essential to life as is art.

We offer an opportunity to experience visceral and challenging works by the current generation of international performance artists whether emerging, mid-career or established. Our events are presented on the floor, not on a stage, dissolving the boundary between artist and viewer. This is how performance art is meant to be experienced and our mission is the glorification of performance art.
Grace Exhibition Space presents over 30 curated live performance art exhibitions each year, showcasing new work by more than 400 performance artists from across the United States and the world since 2006.
