Alice Vogler and Vela Oma have been married and curating and making timed based work for the last for 16 years. Their curatorial work focuses on live art actions and participatory exhibitions. They have exhibited hundreds of contemporary artists that are utilizing live action and hands-on approaches in both traditional settings and non-art designated contexts. They have both participated in many performance events all over the world. They currently reside in the mountains of North Carolina and often desire to be some where else.

The artists IV Castellanos and Amanda Hunt explore the continuous catching and falling of one another’s bodies, and through this idea that takes many aesthetic forms, aim to define arrival as reciprocity. This work of jumping, catching, holding, climbing, falling and/or dropping, and dragging one another on repeat, is juxtaposed with task based labor driven work. Using moulds of utilitarian objects (hammers, saw blades, deformed objects) casts from plaster, the work aims to render the execution of “simple” and “everyday” tasks, just as hammering or cutting, as possibly without goal and possibly other(ed). The artists wear work suits and work boots, both for the proposition of viewing functionality and ordinary-ness as art and as a nod to the long history of Queer folx that have worn these outfits before them. We are very Queer and non Cisgender-men which all aspects of the work, non-negotiably, exudes. Our work sets the stage for the Queer and Feminist utopia we'd like to live in and would like to invite you into. The set choreography is built on the idea that holding and being held requires different (and often metaphorically overlapping) skill sets/strengths, which is why we consciously choreograph each performer doing many types of both holding and catching. An equal distribution of labor gestured by different bodies.

Husband and wife collaborative duo Williamson Brasfield and Alison Kuo will channel scenes from their home studio and lived-in art making habits for a new original performance. Brasfield will improvise an electronic composition infused with sampled sounds made by the couple's collection of objects and ephemera from the studio. Kuo will arrange these objects into a sculpture, attempting to build a structure around Brasfield as he performs. Whenever Brasfield plays a sound associated with one of the objects, Kuo will be required to move that object. This will continue until the end of the score.

Williamson Brasfield received his BFA from Penn State University in 2007, and his MFA in painting from Yale School of Art in 2013. His works traverse across sound, object and image making, and in addition to his solo studio practice he often seeks to collaborate with performing artists and musicians. He was included in the 9th Nicaraguan Biennial of Contemporary Art, curated by Omar Lopez-Chahoud, and has shown his work at The Abrons Art Center, Beverly’s, Cuchifritos, Space Heater, Present Company and PAD Gallery in NYC, at The Overlook Place in Chicago, and at Malagana Macula in Managua. As a founding member of the international collective Jugo Del Cuerpo, he has shown at Harbor Gallery in NYC and the BAVNIC X Biennial in Nicaragua. He recently curated 60hz: Songs of Common Current, a sound art showcase in collaboration with BombPop!Up at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn. Alison Kuo graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a BA focusing in Ceramics in 2008 and got her MFA in Fine Arts from SVA in 2014. She has shown her work at Cuchifritos, the Abrons Art Center, Beverly’s, CANADA, Motel, ICI, Present Company, Cathouse FUNeral, The NARS Foundation, the New York Art Book Fair, and Superchief in NYC, and at the UNTITLED art fair, and the Young at Art Museum in Miami. Internationally, she's been in the 2016 Nanjing International Art Festival, the MATERIAL art fair in Mexico City, and made special performances at Paraiso Bajo in Bogotá, and Malagana Macula in Managua. Kuo is a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts in the MFA Fine Arts program. She is perhaps most well known for starting the popular blog Accidental Chinese Hipsters.
