Knights of the Round Table
The Knights of the Round Table is for the Feminist Art Group. The participating artists will workshop, collaborate, construct and deconstruct ideas and concepts over the course of two days at Grace Exhibition Space. They will work 2-10pm Friday and Saturday and invite the public 8-10pm on both evenings to see the collaborative progress and performances.
Participating artists include: Lorene Bouboushian, Amanda Hunt, Esther Neff, Thea Little, Christen Clifford, Nina Isabelle, Karolina Kublik, LJ Leach, Anaïs Maviel, Suz Evans, Nabeela Vega, Kaia Gilje, Elsie Hupp, Eames Armstrong, Valerie Kuehne, Andrea DiStefano, Elaine Angelopoulos, Elsie Hupp, Meg Williams, Juli Pinto, LaCrisha Brown, Evvie Allison, Quinn Dukes and Lee Rose.
ABOUT FEMINIST ART GROUP
FEMINIST ART GROUP INITIATED SEPTEMBER 4, 2015 ...
The first action by the Feminist Art Group was Upstate Video Vignette Project 2015. The idea was to invite artists to film short vignettes of performance actions with the lens, concepts created by the participating artists. Over the course of three days the artists collaborated ending the weekend with one final performance action.
The second action by the Feminist Art Group was Burning Woman. A concept created by the artist Adriana Magaña for the winter solstice. Jill McDermid (Grace Exhibition Space and Rosehill) was proposed with this project and invited the group to build the giant object.
The third action by the Feminist Art Group was Upstate Video Vignette Project II 2016. This was the second round over the course of three days at Rosekill where the artists created live action, vignette videos and collaboration.
The fourth action by the Feminist Art Group will be the Knights of the Round Table conference at Grace Exhibition Space Brooklyn, NY 2017. This event will involve the roughly 50 invited artists over the course of two days to create work, host workshops, build objects and normalize co-working and collaboration with powerful, focused respectful artists.
