Silver Spiders is a laboratory workshop held at Rosekill (Rosendale, NY) about art and gender,sustained by age, arises from Eugenia Chellet's interest in archetypes,prototypes and stereotypes in the history of pictorial art. The workshop regards the coexistence and nature gathering eight women from different parts of the world that have excelled as performance artists and are beyond 60 years of age. They´re mature, full and wise women whose experience may be shared in an adequate space for reflection and creation, we now meet in a crucial point, because as "goddess agenarians will have an artistic and conceptual imprint to other generations". We´ll have the opportunity to dialogue and create individually and collectively.

The Silver Spiders Workshop will conclude with performances at Rosekill (Rosendale, NY).

Rosekill is a 60+ Acre Nature-Based Performance Art Venue.

Located two hours north of New York City, Rosekill is a beautiful, privately owned patch of raw nature; a former animal farm featuring barns, fields, woods, ponds and more.

Rosekill in an extension of Grace Exhibition Space’s mission to glorify performance art. Performance art-related festivals and workshops are held, allowing artists to present works using both body and mind. Artists are encouraged to engage with their surroundings and participate in the workings of the place.

Artists and audiences are encouraged to bring tents and sleeping bags to sleep under the stars. We cook over a campfire and eat at long picnic tables, then dance around the fire and allow our hearts and minds to expand in a way not possible in the city.

ART/LIFE INSTITUTE is a residency program along the Hudson River in Kingston, New York.

We plan a focus on diverse community-building through our unique residency in Kingston for Performance Artists. Residency: to live in the building that was Linda Mary Montano's performance space and archive, for one-month residencies, on the Rondout Harbor in Kingston, NY. Our purpose for the residency is to foster a community for the Arts in Kingston, to walk around the wonderful waterfront, meet the people in Kingston, then hosting the local people for a dinner party at the end of the month. Art/Life Institute, Kingston will host two events per month in the Institute’s performance space. Performance Art Happenings called “Art + Life” and leave you in peace the rest of the time to live and work. The residency program offers artists the time and support to create new work and fosters an environment that encourages creativity, community, and experimentation.
