Explains the vibrations of the Universe

The most common, stable, and reliable states of the universe are the qualities of darkness and cold. 
We live in a very unusual condition of relative warmth and light. 
 We are living here (earth) -humans, spiders, grass, fish, carrots, bacteria, mice, viruses. We are all related. We need to eat each other. It is the price of peace, beauty, security, humor, love, and hope. Our bodies, like those of all other organisms here, are communities of cells working together essentially for their own preservation. We will all become food for something someday. The sun will make our place food for itself someday. I do not know what will eat the sun. Then it will likely become cold and dark. I take comfort in this. I like natural states.

"East of the sun west of the I'm sick of this shit" is part of a series started last May with the debut of "Tell me a story" that addresses the myths and media manipulation that devalue the female experience in regard to love. In the majority of my work I use a system of repetitive movements and sound installation. I hope that by utilizing the archetypes that are so prevalent in world literature and folklore that I can strike the proverbial cord that all those Jungian scholars are all ways getting so riled up about.

Lilia Scheerder (Eindhoven, 1986) is a performance artist, printmaker and organiser of cultural events. She graduated from the St Joost academy of fine art in 2008. Her performances are inspired by music and live performances by musicians. She has been working on integrating this element into her work as good as possible for several years. Since 2007 she has been working with her partner Lars Leeuw on a regular base. He is a musician and philosopher himself. This makes that her work can these days be defined as sound performance with a strong visual element.

Vela believes in magnifying the energy of objects, sounds and actions, blending subconscious with spirit and allowing the unknown to present it self. He enjoys transforming & altering modern and ancient energy�s into a new unknown universal existence on his spare time. Vela has been a co curator/producer for over 40 performance events and festivals in the city of Boston.
He currently is co-director of MEME Gallery in Cambridge MA.

Kirk Amaral Snow (Born 1980, Providence, RI) is a Boston based artist whose practice investigates the interrelationship between performance, sculpture, and images. His most recent works explore the built world�s relationship to bodies, and its use as a container for our neurosis.
Amaral Snow holds BA�s in Art History (2002) and Studio Art (2003) from the University of Rhode Island and an MFA from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (anticipated May 2011). He has exhibited and performed both nationally and internationally at Boston University (Boston, MA), AS220 (Providence, RI), Mobius (Boston, MA), MEME (Cambridge, MA), Perfolink (Concepci�n, Chile), and Infr�action S�te (S�te, France). Amaral Snow is also a founding member of Lufthansa Studios, an artist-run alternative space in Boston�s Dorchester neighborhood.
